Psych Evaluation
Hi Natt,
You find that the experiences vary somewhat, but basically they looking to find out if you understand the magnitude of what you are about to undergo, if you realize that it is not reversable for all intents and purposes, that you will have undergo lifelong changes in your relationship to and with food, that you will need to develop new coping mechanisms, that you have the family and social support that you will need and so on... Generally, they are looking to ensure that you are stable enough emotionally and cognizant of the decision you are making. They are there to support and protect you, not to try and trip you up or cause you to 'fail' ... far from that, they are there to help ensure your success.
I wish you every success in your journey,
Barb
