Job market & rental housing in NC?
I've got gypsy feet and am scouting out different areas...
while I've not got current definite plans to move YET
I so want to....I miss the southern region but I do not want to return to my native Georgia - at least I don't think I do LOL
at any rate, thought I'd ask what's the job market like there? Rental housing - is it affordable and available and decent?
Anything else you can share about the great state of North Carolina??
TIA!!

The weather here is wonderful and i would say comparable to Atlanta GA. If we get snow, the city closes down and we get what I call a day off from God. It normally melts overnight. We also get ice storms occasionally but again the city closes down.
If you want to see the classified ads from the Charlotte area, just go to Charlotte.com and click on classifieds.
How did a southern gal get to MN? Must have been for love..lol.
Good luck, Pam
NC is one of the few states that still has great housing and job growth.
Depending on what you wanna do after you get here, there are two major metro areas (Charlotte and Raleigh/RTP/Durham). We live an hour east of Raleigh in a "bedroom" community.. and from what I've seen, the pricing is quite a bit less than in Raleigh.
If you are looking at the Raleigh area, I'd be happy to send you classified from tomorrow's Sunday paper. I get them every week just for the coupons.. but I'd be happy to send you the pieces I don't need.
Lemme know if there's anything I can do to help ya out. You know that Angela from the DS board lives in this area, right?

Hi, I just happen to be a Realtor in the southeast section of NC. Offices in Wilmington and Lake Waccamaw. The Wilmington area is one of the fastest growing part of our state. Check out the Wilmington Star News Classified for job listing and rental info. If you need anything more specific that I can help you with let me know.
