This liquid diet is killing me!!help
edit: oh yeah to day I have been very lightheaded too, I've checked my blood sugars and they are doing fantastic any ideas? I'm just scared of fainting and then having to try and get up! LOL not easy at my size now
Hi Deb,
I know that this is sooooo hard and while it's hard to do, I know that you can do it because so much is at stake. It is so important to get that liver to shrink and what you are doing is going to make your surgery so very much safer and will significantly reduce the chance that you might have to have an open procedure.
As you said, I think trying to distract yourself is a significant tool, but also try to focus on the reasons that you are doing this. Remember that we have all been there and it is doable. You can and will do this, it's hard, but they tell many that anything that is worthwhile is expensive ... I tried to remember this myself while I was on that awful liquid diet.
Hang in there,
Barb
P.S. If you are going nuts try scrolling through the before and afters on OH ... It helped me focus on the reason I was doing this.

Hey Deb:
Try to space out your wonderful liquid shakes so that you are not going 6 hours one time and 3 the next. Also, keep plenty of water nearby and drink that which will keep your stomach full. As Jamie said, it is the head hunger that is getting you. We normally eat when we are stressed and with your surgery only 3 days away, I am sure your stress level is up. Keep calm and busy and drink gallons of water if you have to. Have faith that you can do this.
Pam

Take care and realize that this too shall pass. You will not regret doing this for yourself. You are a woman and you are strong, you can do it.
