Doing something wrong

Basically I think I was a basket case at the meeting.
When I got on the scale it showed I had gone up 9lbs OMG I just about freaked.
I have for some reason not been charting my food intake and focasing on protien protien.
I know I am burning over 1000 calories a day and I am feeling great.
I have told myself I am going to start charting my food intake on Spark People.
I always watch my carbs but I think charting it is going to really help me see where I can make better choices.
Thank you Andrea for pointing out about the nut clusters and how easy it would be for us to eat more than just one serving.
I get so obsessed with protien protien I dont allow myself to fill my pouch with much of anything else like fruits or veggies my bad.
Once again I am grateful for this group and grateful I can share my troubles I am having here.
I am always open to advice.
I also had the great pleasure of meeting a wonderful man named Evan today.
I wish him the best of luck and hope to see more of him on here and at at the meetups.
I will do this and I will get to 200lbs.
I love you all.

Hi Annie,

I have faith that you will be able to get rid of that 9 lbs and continue your stead march down to 200 pounds and beyond.

Ben is going to handle the August and September meetings for me, so don't worry.

It was great to see you again.

Hang in there,

Barb

Annie I don't know if you have gotten off track.(kinda doubt it)  But I do know that you are exercising a lot and that muscle weighs more than fat cause it is more dense. It could be you have replace fat with muscle and this is just a temporary gain. Make sure you are on track and you may find a surge in weight loss as a surprise very soon. Don't panic.....you are so deligent in your process I can't see you gaining. Also I think I remember you takeing body measurements,  see if that has changed. You are sooooo much better at exercising than I am.  You will see your goal.

This is very common.. you know this :-)

While in active recovery, muscles will hold onto fluid.  It's the way it is.  So days after a particularly hard workout (more strenuous, extra activity, weights, whatever), your body will naturally hold more fluid.

How much salt did you eat yesterday?  Salt will hold onto water like no tomorrow.

There are so many reasons why this happened.  Don't let it bother you too much (it will, but try not to let it) because it's perfectly natural.

Thanks for the info Andrea,
You are such a smart girl and your post and info means so much to mean.
You helped me so much today by saying what you did.
I made a Dessert shake before leaving to go out to dinner and put it in the freezer.
So later I plan on trying it out with some cool whip I also only added a smaller amount of lactaid.
I do well on the lactaid. I will work on doing it with water.
I also went and bought some cherries and red grapes which I am freezing a few grapes.
Rhonda  told me frozen grapes are very tasty.

Hey Annie:

I know you will find out what is happening by charting your food intake.   If anyone is determined, it is you my friend.   I agree with what others say that muscle weighs more than fat and with all the workouts you are doing, you have got to be building muscles.

You take care girl and i will see you next month at the meetup in Raleigh.

Love ya, Pam

Annie,
A bounce up is par for the course isn't it? Others here are saying that it could be from a lot of things like salt or new
muscles building and water retention. Don't let it get you down.
Today is day one of my presurgical restricted diet. You inspire me to get through every day of it.
