Getting ready to start my "day before the surgery" ritual...

In less than one hour I need to start my colon cleanser....then nothing to eat....surgery is at 12:00pm tomorrow.  So if I can't jump back on here I'm probably in the bathroom....LOL....I just wanted to say thank you to all of you for your support.  I'll have my husband call Andrea U. when I'm out of surgery.
Thanks again, see all of you on the other side!!! (I hate that phrase because I think of something different).

I would say - have a great afternoon BUT try to focus on the losers bench it's only a few steps away. By the way is the colon cleanser the stuff you have to mix with a drink or the pills? We call the stuff you have to mix the TURBO Laxative. You will make it through this I promise - just remember to buckle your seat belt when you sit down on the toilet. I mixed mine with Crystal Light Peach tea and I still won't touch the stuff 3 years later.

Good Luck -

Iris

It's Phospho-soda (just love how they call it soda) and I'm supposed to mix it with clear liquid...is this the TURBO laxative?  I think I'll mix it with Apple Juice since I won't be having all the sugar in that after surgery....LOL

I'm sure you do...it is a freaken nightmare...it is the most foul tasting crap I have ever had to stomach. It's not the kind of stuff you can hold your nose for.  It's like someone shoved sewage from the ocean down your throat.  And as you try to drink it, it's so foul that it comes right back up in your mouth and you have to swallow it a second time.  I did it atl 12pm and I have been in the bathroom every 5-7 minutes.  My butt hurts soooo...bad...that's TMI, isn't it?  LOL

Nope.  Unless certain surgeons require it for specific reasons.

I had a LapBand and didn't have to do a colon cleansing ... just no eating or drinking after midnight the night before.
