What does everyone do....?

I'm feeling chatty this afternoon - what does everyone do for work / jobs? I work full time as a Deputy Register of Deeds. It's fun. I do land records, birth certificates, death certificates and marriage license. That's where my paycheck comes from. Plus I'm a full time Mom to 2 teenagers. Before I started this job I was a stay at home Mom for 15 or so years.

I am a CNA at a nursing home and Im pretty much worn out by the time I get home.  Once Im finished with work I have nothing left to give.  Also I have two small boys ages 6 and 4 so I try to run behind them but Its hard.

I just looked at your profile and your boys are so handsome. i remember mine being little guys like that. They can be so much work - especially when they get quiet - you know they're into something.

You sound like me daughter.  She is a CNA at a nursing home.  She is worn out when she gets home but instead of 2 boys, she has 4 - ages 9, 7, 5, 3.  She and her husband have their hands full most of the time.

As I've told my daugher many times, I am so glad their are people like you and her.  It takes a very special and gifted person to work with the elderly.

I am a Real Estate Broker/REALTOR in Columbus County, NC.  I worked for the Columbus County Clerk of Courts office for 6.5 years. 

I was a stay at home mom until my oldest was 16. My husband is retired Navy so of course everytime we changed ports I changed jobs!! LOL  I actually worked for the goverment while he was in. Lets see,  some really interesting jobs.

Back in BC (before children) I had my real estate license as well. I was also a licensed cemetery lot sales person.  How funny is that?

Hi Iris~
I work full time from home via the computer as a personal assistant to a executive director for a company over in London, England. I answer all her emails, schedule her appointments,put together reports, answer her phone lines and anything else she needs I was a active duty Marine for four years then got out and worked as a Paramedic for a few years, loved it but the pay wasnt good enough. I feel so lucky to be able to roll out of bed and work in my PJs if I want! LOL

Darcie - that it too cool.What sort of hours do you normally work to account for the time differences?

I've got a couple of friends who are paramedics and they truly must do it because they love it.

I LOVED being a medic BUT my bills needed to be paid and the shifts would rotate so I could not pick up a second job so I had to leave the field. I have a VERY flexible schedule with my job and thats why I got hired is when she is off work I can pick up the stuff she didnt get finished during the day. I dont have to sit here during Londons *office hours* which makes it easy for me to get things done out in town if I need to go shopping or whatever and you are welcome for my service...
