Band to DS

Unfortunately, I had to delete this post due to privacy concerns.

Got a lap band in 2008. Tried hard, but didn't lose much weight & developed swallowing problems. Fought my insurance company for almost a year & finally had a band to DS revision on 5/11/12. Have now lost 125 pounds. Yay!

Who says that we have to know what we want to be when we're all grown up? It sounds like all of the career choices have had their own rewards. I lack 4 courses having my degree for counseling and if I did my student teaching I could teach highschool history. Oh well.

Wow - now that is a full-time job. My guys were 15 months apart so there were times that it was like having twins. My hat goes off to you.

Don't you love it when they handle out titles instead of bigger salaries. I'd rather be known as a peon and get a fatter paycheck. Oh well. It sounds like you have your hands full as well.

One of the biggest perks of my job is working with the public. No two days are ever the same - I'm sure in your line of work it;s the same way. The mystery shopping sounds like fun. My Mom did that every once in a while a long time ago.

I filled in doing a demo for a friend that does that as a part time job. When I filled in that day for her at our local wal-mart I was sick with the flu and had just started on blood pressure medicine which made my head feel a little funny. I was handing out men and womans razors. It was hard standing on my feet for 5 hours but I did it. There were times I would get light headed because of the medicine and would sit for a brief second and then get up when a customer came down the isle. I would love to do that again and maybe this time I would be better prepared and of course be able to stand longer and not be sick like I was that day.

I'm a writer and editor on education accountability issues.  My second full-time job is as marketing director at an international and independent movie theater.

I've been writing professionally for 25 years now!  Sheesh, I'm soooo old.
