The lessons I have learned (long)

I think the first lesson I have learned and the most important one this past year since the day of my surgery which was one year ago today is... you have to be accountable to only yourself and you have to be willing to make wls work.
I would love to just forget this past week get dressed and go pass out apple juice samples today but I am not going to do any of that without getting back to my daily workout and recording my intake and fittness.
I have walked the dogs this morning along with Prof who I am not sure how long he will be with us.
Once again my bulldogs have made me a proud bulldog mamma this morning.
While walking we came across some other people walking.
Prof sounded the alarm so I held on tight to 4 dogs and gave the command CROSS which the bulldogs have learned this means cross the street.
We crossed the street and walked back up the hill and to the house.
Soon I will be doing my morning workout and then getting ready for work.
I will feel more comfortable with myself for doing what I need to for my health.
I cant change what is going on with my mother.
I can change myself and take care of me.

Happy Surgiversary, Annie!!!!!!

I loved *everything* about your post today.  Good for you to not cave in and keep your committment to yourself even in times of adversity!

Enjoy your day and have FUN kicking Lee's boo-tay in WII!  We are wanting one of those sooo bad...lil' man even wants the yoga one, so I think that would be awesome to invest in post-op for sure.

{{{Big ol' hugs}}} sent your way!
Band to DS

Unfortunately, I had to delete this post due to privacy concerns.

Got a lap band in 2008. Tried hard, but didn't lose much weight & developed swallowing problems. Fought my insurance company for almost a year & finally had a band to DS revision on 5/11/12. Have now lost 125 pounds. Yay!
