A wonderful sight (long)

My brave and wonderful Arthur is outside very intrested in what I call the deer family.
The deer family consist of a mamma deer two fawns and a buck.
All four stay very close to each other and circulate through my nieghborhood.
Right now they are in my back yard which I can look out my window and see them.
I dont think Arthur would hurt them he just likes to go out and sit on the ramp and sound the alarm.
Maybe in bulldog language he is letting them know this is his house.
BTW Prof went back home to mother last night.
Mother is home for now until the next health episode.
When we brought Prof back to her I noticed she had a glass of wine on the table.
Unfortunatly there is nothing I can do about that she has to be accountable for her actions as I do mine.
I will be getting on the treadmill soon and then off to work.
I will be glad when this weekend is over so I can continue my 120 minutes of working out.

That has to be wonderful to have nature that close to you.  We have an acre and a quarter of property just north of Charlotte and while we have bunnies, squirrels and birds, no deer here.

You have a great attitude my friend.   Just keep up the great work!

Love ya, Pam

p.s can't wait to meet you in 2 weeks!!

I was mowing the back yard this afternoon on my "insanely gorgeous husband's" zero-turn rider. On the outside of our split rail fence I saw something that looked like someone dumped out a can of black beans. LMAO
Well, it was indeed "dumped out" but it was definately not beans,.
Hubby says either deer or fox poo. In my opinion that would have to be one super deluxe sized fox.
Maybe Bigfoot...or Swamp Ape...but not a fox...

Hi Annie,

I know what you mean about the deer. Our home is on an acre and a half wooded lot and we have herd that comes by every morning and evening. I'd rather that they not consider my garden their own personal kitchen and I think my dogs think so too. They have a fit whenever the deer are in the backyard and raise a ruckus, but it doesn't faze the deer anymore, they just wander a bit closer as though to say, "Naner, Naner, Naner" to the dogs. It makes 'em just crazy.

I'm glad to hear that your Mom is home. Sorry to hear about the glass of wine, but I'm glad that you are keeping it in it's relative perspective ... it's her issue and you can't change it. I know it impacts you, but you can't change it, so I'm glad that you are doing the things you need to do to care for yourself.

Have a good week-end,

Barb

Arthur thinks he is the great deer hunter and Guien follows what ever her brother is doing.
Bulldogs usally run about 20 feet and then it is time to sit for awhile.

As for my mom for he first time ever the serenity prayer makes total sense to me now.

I know what you mean about bulldogs; I'm telling you that Ben is/was one! LOL

I also know what you mean about the serenity prayer ... I think it must have been written for parent with children and children with older parents.
