Anyone want to ride to Raleigh with me for meetup on 8/16?

I am planning on attending the meetup in Raleigh on Saturday, 8/16.  I have a mini-van and if anyone wants to ride up with me, I would gladly pick you up at any area off I85.   I will hop on I85 at the Davidson Concord exit.    Think the meeting is at 10 am so I would probably be leaving Huntersville at 7 am and get to I85 about 720.  I can stop anywhere off I85 from my entrance all the way through Greensboro if anyone wants to hitch a ride.

Makes me wish I lived out thattaway just so we could gab for a few hours on the way to the Meetup!  I guess I could just drive out to Greensboro and then we could drive back to Raleigh ...   LOL

Got your PM but can't figure out how to get back there to respond.   Will touch base with you a few days before the meet up and give you my celphone no., decide where we will meet, etc.   No need to chip in for gas as I would be going regardless.

I would love to chat and share rides to the meet but I have to hunt for Duke Hosp. afterwards so I best travel seperate this time. We want to find it so it will be esier to find on 9/2.Thanks for the offer but we will get to chat at the meeting.

I wish I could go.  It sounds like so much fun.

I am taking my only child, Adam, to college that day!  Please pray for me that I can get over leaving him.  I am having a hard time with it.

Hey Barbara:

I took my only child off to college last year.  My husband and i both thought we would be miserable.   My son is very considerate and will IM or call me everyday to let me know he is ok as he knows i am paranoid.  After the first few weeks we realized how wonderful it really is.   When he came home over his breaks and then now summer, we realized how much we really enjoyed it and there came the mess and noisy friends, etc.

Hope your journey with this goes as well as ours did.
