I'm home!! I'm home!!
Thanks Andrea for letting everyone know that I was ok. I was discharged last nighit at 9:30pm..My surgery was on Friday. Doctor said it was a tough surgery, 3 1/2 hours long. He said my peritenium (not sure what that is) was very very strong and had great difficulty getting through it..
I'm feeling super great!!! This morning I have already had 33 grams of protein and 17 oz. of water..No compaints except I need to learn to sip and not swallow so hard. Oh and I've passed gas many times this morning (I hadn't passed any in the hospital).
My worst pain is from the gas...although every muscle in my body aches. Dr. P explained the surgery is done with my standing up and slightly learned forward but securely tied down. I had no idea they did this surgery standing up so that all of my guts fall forward.
My biggest complaint fight now is that my vision is so blurred I can't see a blessed thing. The pharacist said that this can happen with the kind of pain killers I was given. Hope it comes back...I a teacher and would be able to read ANTHING!!!
Thank you all for thinking of me!!!

How interesting that your surgery is performed standing up. That sounds like something I would have been happy to learn about post-op! That would have added to my worry list pre-op!
Be careful about the vision thing and hopefully it will all be cleared up before back-to-school time. Enjoy the days, months, weeks to come! 259/245/155/145/130
