You know what Annie..  I have noticed the same exact thing.  I hate that too.. because those men would not have been so cordial 175 pounds ago.

Yup! It's true!
I find people engaging me in conversation MUCH more than they did before but it isn't just men.
Go figure...

I noticed this too...  4 years ago after loosing my initial 217lbs I was getting a lot of attention.  It took me a second to realize that it was because I was a "normal" size and they were flirting.  Of course I was single and ate it up for a little while.  Then it started getting annoying because I was the same person I was before WLS.  Now that I have a wonderful man in my life I just smile and hold my head up high.  Men are dogs, but I truely think they can't help it.. its in their genes - or jeans... lol!

Have a great day girl!

Hi Sheryl,
Having someone flirt with us is something we are not used too.
That is probally why I fell head over heals in love with Lee when I met him.
When I met Lee I was still 600lbs I will never know what he saw in me then.
I am thankful he is still with me and has been there through fat and somewhat normal size times with me.

I've always struggled with weight issues and once upon a time, back in my early 20s I went on the "Rice Diet" in Durham. I lost a lot of weight! When I returned to college I felt great and confident, but when the first guy actually whistled at me I was OFFENDED! That kind of attention made me feel very uncomfortable. (I ended up dating and falling in love with that guy, by the way. Alas, we eventually broke up, but he was my first "real" love.)
