I had my surgery on 6/23/08 and at my last Dr. visit on 7/29/08 I had lost 28 lbs. I a now  a week later still at the same weight. I eat my protein, drink my water and watch the calories. I also exercise some each day. I thought you automatically lost weight for the first 3 months. Please suggestions. I did not do this to stop at 303.

More info is needed...  what kind of surgery did you have?  and are you journaling?  have you talked to your nutritionist about changes?
So many things factor into weight loss - time of day that you eat, getting plenty of water, stress, etc.  Do you work outside your home?
The people on this site will have much better suggestions than I since I have not had surgery yet.  And I know you are frustrated.  Give some more info - even a sample of your diet plan for the day and see what others have to say.

Haven't you heard about the dreaded "stall"?  It sounds like that's what this is.  Relax.  You're perfectly normal.  I'd be willing to bet that any of us that are a few months out or more have gone through this at least once (no matter what surgery you had.)  I personally hit my first stall around 3 weeks out.  And then I'd stall at least once a month.  It's natural.  Your body is going through a lot of changes, and sometimes it just needs to catch it's breath and get used to where it is before it can move on.  Just hang in there.  Keep following the rules:  Make sure you're getting in enough protein and enough fluids, and some kind of exercise.  It WILL start up again.  Don't worry...you're not stopping at 303.  You're just re-adjusting!

I seem to remember hitting my first stall about a month out...it was very frustrating, but it will move again, big time. Remember also that while the total number on the scale may not be moving the parts that make up that number very well may be - you can be losing fat and replacing it with muscle and not know it by a regular scale. I got worried too when I hit my first stall, but then went and weighed at a support group meeting, and saw that while the total number had not changed in a week I had lost almost 10 lbs of fat in that time!

I may try to go - I work in RTP so I normally go to the Raleigh meetings, but it looks like I might be working from home tomorrow so it won't be too hard to shoot down the road to the mtg if my work load permits. Be sure to weigh on the scales there to see if the composition numbers have changed!
Hopefully I'll be able to make the mtg and meet you there - the support group meetings have been a big help to me along the way.

First all.. let me say that 28 pounds in a little over a month is AWESOME.  You should be PROUD PROUD PROUD!!  I bet that you can not think back to a time before surgery when you made such a great leap toward your health.  Everyone has already explained that you have hit a tiny stall.  Please allow me to give you a bit of advice.. you cannot compare yourself to any others on or off of the boards that have also had WLS.  The other thing is not to freak out when weight loss slows.  This surgery works.  Just look around at all of the success stories and you have proof of that.  This journey has just began for you and you will have months where it seems the weight is falling off.. other times you might hit small stalls.  Your body has been through a great deal of trauma and adjustment and it just needs some time for a break.  Just breathe and calm down.  The weight loss will resume again..   :)
