My plan has worked ! I have a Date!!!!
Yes - I have a date for next Thursday. As I have mentioned I have been on the pre-op liquid diet since last Wednesday and when I went to the surgeon today one of the first things I asked was how soon could I have surgery. He said the first of next week, but the scheduler said next Thursday was the best that could be done, so I will stay on liquids until then.
Which by the way, I have lost 22 pounds since the first time that I went to the educational class.
I went ahead and got prescriptions for Zofran and Lortab elixir, so that I can get them filled before I have surgery.
So my plan has worked and I am going to be banded.... Woohoo!!!!

Got a lap band in 2008. Tried hard, but didn't lose much weight & developed swallowing problems. Fought my insurance company for almost a year & finally had a band to DS revision on 5/11/12. Have now lost 125 pounds. Yay!
I could hardly sleep last night and I have to work today so I guess I will be floating or as Vera said - bouncing...
Thanks for all the well-wishes. I will find out today when my pre-op will be. The person who does the scheduling said she would call today and that there were several people to co-ordinate with from lab to anesthesia, etc. Good thing I work this weekend to keep me busy and anchored.
