and I'm glad it's nearly over.  My grandmother is here from NY living with us for 1 year to care for my 10 month old so he doesn't have to go to day care.  Today my parents arrived from NY also...Now ALL of them are big eaters and they brought home-grown corn and tomatoes with them from NY (which are just the best).  They've been eating ALL DAY and then at 4:30 they had a huge feast on BBQ Chicken, Baby Back Ribs, Corn on the Cob....and on and on.  I just couldn't even sit at the table!!!  So, I went out in the garage and got on my treadmill until they finished.  I had surgery last Friday and I'm still on water and protein drinks...absolutely nothing else.

I made it!!! (without breaking down and crying).  Can't wait to just put my head on my pillow tonight!!!

But don't you feel so proud of yourself for saying "no" and doing what is best for your body and health?
Yeah, I know you do.
It's all worth it, sistah!
Not worth a single one of those ribs...and I LOVE ribs!!!!!
(I love the "new me" more.)
You're doing great!

My Daughter, her husband and grandkids stayed with me for two weeks after I had my surgery. They came in from Iowa...... yeah I know that feeling all two well. They tried to be very respectful of eating. I would go nap while they ate............ It's hard.

You did awesome!  My folks came down to NC for my surgery and stayed for 6 weeks.   My husband and i don't cook so normally that wouldn't be a problem.  My dad cooks dinner daily but tried to add things for me such as mashed potatoes or soft green beans (once i was 2 weeks out and got the go ahead from my doc).  Otherwise, i would go to Target or out for a walk while they ate.

Good luck and keep up the great work!

Pam

Good for you Michele for getting on that treadmill.
After all it is just food and food is what got us in trouble in the first place.
Soon you will find yourself eatting because your body needs the fuel to keep running but it will never be as much as it was.

It is never too late to be what you might have been.?
