It's been 3 weeks since surgery
I can't believe that it's been 3 weeks already. Time flies when you're having fun and I my friends am having an absolute ball. I am down 20.1 lbs since the morning of surgery. My clothes are definietly showing the loss. My energy level is amazing.Other than really ripe bananas in a "smoothie" type protein shake I've tolerated my limited amount of new foods really well.
I'm having no difficulty getting in my water but I admit that getting in my proteins has been harder than I expected when I moved to the pureed stage. I keep some protein bullets on hand in the fridge as a last resort. I really don't care for them that much.
I'm back on my treadmill and loving it. 10 minutes seems to fly by and I think I may become an exercise junkie before this journey gets really started good.
I hope all the other Newbies are getting along as well. To those of you who are pre-op - Hang in there because you really are closer than you've ever been. I am so glad that I found this sight and the tremendous support that comes with being one of the NC OHer's.
Hope everyone has an absolutely Perfect Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Keep working on the protien. It takes time and the mark that you're Dr has given you is a target. They know that you won't necessarily make there right away, but you just keep plugging away at it and you'll find very soon that you will be able to 'eat' all of your protien. Just remember "Protien" first whenever you are eating. Of course, fluids as much as you can possiblity tolerate and take those supplements.
You are doing a great job. Keep it up.
I look forward to seeing less of you,
Barb
