My Husband's Heart - X post
Hi,
I know how stressful the heart problems can be. My DH had a heart attack 16 yrs ago. He had damage to his heart, but has done wonderful since, until Sunday. He was having some chest discomfort, but did not 'fess up until Tuesday AM. I called the cardiologist and set up and appointment (he had just had a nuclear stress test on Aug 25). We saw the cardiologist at 3:00 pm and he said he needed to get a heart cath asap, but it would probably take 14-21 days for the VA to approve. In the meantime if it got worse go to ER. By 12;30am Wed we were in ER. Stayed there until about 8:00 am until they got him admitted. Finally got approval for cath and they took him to the lab at 2:00 pm. Found a 90% blockage and put in a stent yesterday. Home now and I am having to sit on him to keep him resting!!! LOL
I hope you DH gets his taken care of quickly and I stress that if he has any symptoms at all go to the ER. Will keep you in my prayers.
