I have surgery tomorrow

I have been a member of OH starting in June. But I have never post on the forum or chat with any one in the chat room. One I am very shy and the other is I am fat. I think that people can some how see me and want speak to me for this reason . Crazy I know but this has happen in life. Anyway, I wanted to say that I read alot of posts and visited many profiles. Tomorrow is my turn for the greatest change that could ever happen in my life. I am very very very,scared but will think of all of you and how you have changed your life and would not give up even though the fear you never gave up. I have to say there is a very little part of me that wants to cancel the surgery. But the very big part of me will not give up. All of you on OH has inspired me to change my life for the better and never look back . So thank you my OH family  I will see you on the looser bench

I had my RNY surgery yesterday and it went very well. I hope yours goes well for you tomorrow and thanks for posting.

OH YAY!!! WELCOME to the journey that is about to change your life!!! I had surgery 6 1/2 months ago and it is honestly the best thing i could have EVER done for myself!!! When i was " Fat" I went into hiding, I didn't want to see anyone or anyone to see me, I was ashamed and embarrased! That was what basically drove me to the decision to do the research to have this surgery, that was NOT ME, I didn't know who I was 7, 8, 9 months ago!! But today I ABSOLUTELY know who I am and feel confident and secure and ready to face the world!!! You will do great! Go in there with your head held high and know that you are not alone and that we will ALL be here for you when you get done!!  Hang in there, as you are about to embark on the ride of your life!!!! See you on the other side!!

I'm so glad you posted. Tomorrow will be your re-birthday and it will come to mean more to you than your actual birthday. I don't know how many chances we're given in life to get things right but tomorrow will change everything about your life. AS you begin to gain self-confidence we'll get to watch you emerge from hiding into the spotlight.

Don't be shy. This is one place you can come to without being self conscious of your size.

Don't be shy...we are all here for the same reason. You will have a new birthday tomorrow and leave the shyness behind you.  I wish you the best of luck on your surgery.
