I am trying to walk as much as possible.  It is very very painful.  I have been getting up and walking around, last night was rough.  It is very hard to move around.  I got up a couple of times in the night and walked around the house and ended up sleeping from about 4-7 in my chair in the living room.  My chest hurts, not sure why and am not sure if I should be concerned or not.  I also can't tell if I am hungry or not. Weird.  Last need I had some chicken broth just because I felt like I should and this morning I had some sf strawberry jello and some decaf coffee, again not hungry just feel like I should.  My stomach is making some very very weird noises!  I just spoke to my surgeon, as I am writing this I called him and asked about my chest pain and he said sounds like the gas.  My doctor is a real joker, yesterday he came in the pre op and was like so what are we doing today??  I am like you don't remember??? Then when I talked to him this morning he was like what surgery did you have yesterday??  That man is crazy.

I had pain in my chest too after surgery.
It was horrible but I was told it was the gas they use to pump up your stomach to do the surgery.
If you are having a hard time deciding if you are hungry can you tell if you feel full?

Band to DS

Unfortunately, I had to delete this post due to privacy concerns.

Got a lap band in 2008. Tried hard, but didn't lose much weight & developed swallowing problems. Fought my insurance company for almost a year & finally had a band to DS revision on 5/11/12. Have now lost 125 pounds. Yay!

Hello surgery sister! We had our surgery the same week. But you didn't have to stay away from home as long as I did. I have the gas in my chest a bit too. When I rock in my rocking chair/recliner it seems to help a lot. Annie really is an angel isn't she?

Hey!

Glad to know that you're home and doing pretty good.  That Dr. Moran........ he came in to see me before surgery sucking down a Starbucks!!!
Have you been to the support group yet?  I went last night and it was really good.  Fun and informative.  Hope to see you there next month.

Welcome to the bench Mandy!  So glad to hear that you are doing well.  Take that pain med if you need it!  You will heal faster if you're not using your strength to fight the pain.   Take care of yourself and keep us posted!
Hugs! Donna L (finding_me) - I just know I'm here somewhere...
