Post Op Appt 1st week
Hey Everyone! I went for my 1 week post op appt and everything is going well. I have lost 13 pounds in 10 days!! It was very exciting to see that and actually see the scale moving down instead of up. I have gotten some mixed reactions from some of my family. My Dad said...I think that is too much weight too quick and my father in law said...oh that is just all water weight. Nothing like some positive encouragement from the fam. They both have a tendency to be negative. So they rained on my parade a little bit but I am still very happy.

Someone is always going to rain on your parade but this is for YOU, not for them... I do know how disappointing it can be when family doesn't give you the support that you need. It hurts!
13 pounds is great! and even if some of that is water weight, claim it ! It is exciting and things will continue to be exciting...
I applaud you
and I know that this is just the beginning of your new life as a bander.... Congratulations on a great post op appt.

Congratulations on the 13 pounds!! Don't let the comments bring you down when you know they are just coming from negative people and there are so many of us happy for you here
I am actually torn on whether or not to tell family beforehand for just this reason. You know that you are doing great and anyone that isn't celebrating with you is just missing out on the joy of it all!

I think you are doing FANTASTIC! Enjoy every pound. As far as the your father and in law...tell them to talk to the hand or just walk away from them. You need to be excited as that will give you more encouragement.
You take care and if you need any cheerleaders...you have come to the right place.
Take care,
Pam
Hi Mandy,
Just get the umbrella out when they are around. You are doing a great job and I'll bet that they will quit raining on your parade when your health looks great and so does your cute little bod!
Take care and keep up the good work.
