10 weeks out and today I weighed 189 on the scales.  I'm done 70 lbs. from my highest weight in July and down 56 lbs. since the day of surgery....No more stress incontinence, off all asthma meds, no more sleep apnea...Just one question...why do my hips hurt soooo...much...The bones hurt terrible if I sit for any length of time or when I wake up in the morning I can barely walk.  Feel great if I keep moving though...do you think this could be related to a lack of calcium??? or low D???
Thanks for everyone's support!!!!

WOOOHOOOOOO  Great news Michele and congrats! I sure hope I do as well after my surgery!
Don't know why your hips would be hurting like that. Mine hurt now when I sleep but that's understandable with the BIG BUTT on them lol. Hope that gets better soon. Maybe they are just screaming at you for losing the padding.

You are doing awesome...can't wait til i get to onederland!!   As far as the sore hips, my problem has been a sore rear end.   If i sit 30 min or longer, my rear kills me and i still got plenty of padding back there.   Even tried sitting on my couch which has thick cushions with springs in them and that doesn't help.   You may want to ask your doc if the bones continue to hurt.

Take care,

Pam

If it persists definitely mention it to your doctor.

Some thoughts on it anywhoo!!!

are you crossing your legs more?
center of gravity may be adjusting to the lower weight.
how's your posture?
low back exercisesmay bring you some relief.
any restless leg syndrome issues?--if so call your doctor!

WOW!!! Congratulations on your fabulous success. You certainly are making the most of this wonderful opportunity to strip of the excess weight. Weigh to go!!! (Pun intended ;-)

I'd give your PCP a call re the pain in your hips. It's not something that I have experienced. Like Pam, I have issues when sitting too long, but that's due to a lack of padding, not pain in my bones.

Wishing you continued success,

Barb
