Well I'm going to get out of this mood and going to start liking and drinking my protein shakes, so I'm going to just try different stuff and see what I like. This is my first creation and working on drinking it right now.

Cindy's Chocolate-Caramel Iced Java

1/2 bottle of Achiev One protein drink(Mocha Java)
1 scoop Matrix Perfect Chocolate
1 cup fat free milk
3 ice cubes
Dash of Monin O'Free Caramel Syrup

Mix all together in a blender and enjoy!

Total protein is 41 grams

Cindy,

I read and commented on your last post before I saw this one...  Anyway, I'm glad to see you trying new things.  I just realized you're only a couple weeks post op also...  This is the hardest part of your journey.  Trust me when I say it does get better!!!  I am 6 years post op and have lost 217 lbs, it was a rollercoaster of a ride but boy oh boy has it been fun!  I only wish you the best of luck and I really hope you're strapped in for this wild ride girl!  This time next month you should be feeling much much better and will have all kinds of new favorite foods!  That Chocolate-Caramel Iced Java sounds wonderful, I'll have to try it in the morning!!!  Thanks for the recipe!

Thank you Sheryl for the encourgment. On that recipe the AcheivOne drinks I can't stand the smell or the taste by its self so I had ordered a case of it before the surgery and don't want to waste it so I can't taste it in this drink. Next time I might try adding some real coffee also.

Cindy,

I added regular coffee and it was wonderful!  I have also made a shake with the protein, peanut butter and part of a banana (I don't know if you can do banana and peanut butter yet but it was good!).  Anyway, thanks for the recipe!  Keep em comin!

Cindy - can you do peanut butter?  add a tablespoon to your protein drink and mix well.  or 1/2 of a frozen banana

your recipe sounds really good.  keep experimenting.

Shelia thanks for the tip, but no I can't have peanut butter or banana yet. I've still got another week of the full liquid diet

I'm happy for ya, darlin!  What I do is take baby-steps when things seem overwhelming.  Making mini-goals to conquer a little at a time is the key for me.  :)  Sounds like you are on the right track starting with your protein shakes.  The Chocolate Caramel Iced Java sounds yummo!  I've saved all of EggFace's shake recipes to a document and am looking forward to experimenting with them post-op.  I'm thinking of it as a new adventure, coming soon!  Are you going to try any of the protein ice cream recipes?

Hey Shauna, I don't think I've seen a protein ice cream recipe, do you have one to share?
