New measurements today

Whoo hoo !

I went to Curves this afternoon and was measured.  I have lost 17.5 inches in 5 weeks.  I was so excited.  I have really been working hard to ge****er aerobics in twice a week and Curves twice a week along with my mini cycle and treadmill at home.  And of course, you know how it is....  all this work/exercise - is it doing any good???  And the answer is YES !

All the pre-op folks out there - please take time to measure.  I wish I had done so before surgery, but didn't, so I will never know what my stats could've been, but I have started now.

I am sooo excited for you, Shelia!  Like I told you on the phone earlier, hubby and I talked about how great you are looking after we left support last night.  It's so great that all your hard work is paying off.  Keep up the dedication to YOURSELF!  You are so beautiful, inside and out, and you are only getting more and more beautiful with each passing pound/inch.  Thanks also for the reminder to measure.  :)  Love ya!

Hi Shelia,

Congratulations on a fabulous start. There is a site that I have used at www.thinnerself.com that I love because you can plug in the numbers that you get from curves each month when you get measured and it will show a graphic representation of your body as you get slimmer and slimmer. It was a big help to me to be able to see the graphic representation of my shrinking body because to be honest I had a really hard time seeing the loss even when others around me saw it. It show you your starting measurements in one color, your current measurements in another and finally your goal measurements. It looks kind of like a little snowman drawing getting smaller and smaller. I think you'll have to actually 'see' it to really understand what I'm talking about, but it was a great way for me to see the 'shrinking' me.

Wishing you continued success.

Barb
