I am starting my 2wk diet tomorrow and the dr told me I could use the whey protein and I have to have that for breakfast and lunch. So last night I tried the chocolate with water and that wasn't too great, what I was wanting to know is instead of water can I use milk?

I use unsweetened plain soymilk with mine and love it.  If you don't like that, there is a product called Hood Calorie Countdown that comes in fat-free and 2%.  Any of these products will net you only 3 carbs and will make your whey powder taste MUCH better than with jus****er!  I like to whirl mine in the blender sometimes with the milk along with ice cubes.  Just 2 more weeks...how exciting!  I will most likely be starting my pre-op diet when you are ending yours.  Good luck!

I used skim milk and a 1/4 of a banana put the rest in the freezer for use later. I hated the way the whey taste so I did what I needed to do.I did it in the blender added ice too tasted like a nice milk shake and I lost 10 lbs in the 2 weeks preop

When I did use the whey protien drinks, I always did them with skim milk and ice... The colder, the better. You should also know that not all whey protien drinks taste the same, so if you don't like the one you have you can try another. I'm not sure where you got yours, but I found that GNC is great about taking products back if you don't like them. I exchanged some I didn't like and found one that I felt was 'palatable.' It was made by AmericanWhey.

Good luck,

Barb

I use 1% milk.  The brand I use is Matrix. The chocolate and cookies n cream is the best.  This is the first protein drink I have tried and liked.

I hate them all.  How's that for negative?  :)  But...I do have some advice.  Definitely try it with milk, try it different ways.  The whey has a funny smell to it that can really affect your taste buds too.  Try putting it in a cup with a top, maybe like one of those travel coffee mugs that you just sip out of a little hole.  Then you're not smelling it while you're drinking it.  That helps somewhat too.  Good luck!

I also use skim milk and 1/4 banana. When using vanilla protein, I use skim milk and tsp. of instant decaf coffee.

I used soymilk instead since it tends to be thicker than skim milk (depending on the brand) just keep an eye on the sugar in whatever you use.

I use fat free skim milk and either 1/2 banana or 1/4 cup Dannon Light & Fit Vanilla Yogurt.
I've found that the banana tends to run my sugar up so I've tried to cut down on those but I do so love bananas.
