Survived the party (long)

The party was huge.
I think everyone had a good time.
OMG did we have tons of food left over.
I sent food home with many people and even had Lee take a huge platter of veggies out for the deer family.

A situation came up with an aquantance who came to the party.
This person when I told her I was going to have wls was very much against it.
So I broke off hanging out with her for three years.
Since my surgery we have had some contact and she and her new hubby came to the party.
She brought some soup which looked great but it has noodles in it and my pouch dosent do well with noodles.
She also brought the containers of SaraLee cheesecake bites.
When she handed them to me I said if there are leftovers when you go please take them.
She looked at me strange.
So I passed around the containers hoping to get rid of them quick.
I even sent some home with people along with some cookies someone brought.
By the end of the party I still had some of these cheesecake bites.
I had a few and yes they were tasty so tasty I saw myself wanting to eat the rest of them.
I took what was left and poured them down the sink.

The soup looked great and I had a little bit and soon after having some of the soup my pouch did not feel good.
This same person has been known to give Lee and I a box of 5 year old peanut brittle which she told Matt.
Well the joke is on her Lee and I cant eat peanut brittle because of our dentures.
So I got to thinking wondering could she have put something in the soup?
I promise I am not crazy you would have to know this person to understand where this fear of mine is comming from.
So since I cant eat the noodles and feel worried about the soup I am going to get rid of it.
Jelousy is an ugly beast and to protect myself I will do what I have too.
All in all we had a great time and even met some new nieghbors which was great.
This morning I took the babies on a walk and when we got home I saw the deer family enjoying the veggies we put out for them.

Annie,

I'm glad to hear that you had such a nice party. I was thinking of you!

I'm proud of you for 'ditching' the contraband so that it won't compromise your journey ...next time, don't invite wolves into the den.

Hugs,

Barb

Sounds like you had a great time at the party. You handled yourself well with this person who was against your weight loss. It does not matter what other people think, look at you now wearing size small sweats and hot mama leather pants!!! You do whats RIGHT FOR YOU! About the food, when in doubt THROW IT OUT!!

hugs,
Darcie

I'm so glad that yall had a great party. I was a fortune telling gypsy for my best friend's party Saturday night. We had a ball. there must have been 100 kids there plus all their parents. We had it in her Barn and when the rain poured down and the wind started howling it really added to the spooky sound effects.

Good job on dealing with the food. Oscar the Pouch wasn't being really easy going on Saturday so it made it easy to skip over the buffet table. I bet the deer really enjoyed their tidbits.

Have a great day.

Annie,  Sounds like the party was a big success!  You deserve nothing less than to surround yourself with positive people that make you a better person and/or that you can return the favor to.  Sounds like your old aquaintance does not fall into this category!  Awesome job on pouring the cheesecake bites down the sink and I hope that soup soon follows.  I know how difficult it can be to throw out food but you are indeed doing it for the greater good...bravo!  Oh how I miss the deer we had back at our house in Indiana.  With the thick mountain forests here, I just don't get to SEE them anymore, but I'm sure they are there somewhere!

Annie if that is the worst thing that ever happens maybe your aquantance will maybe wake up and figure out you basically should have an olympic gold medal for just improving your lifestyle and a great make over to boot. So if she left still a little green with envy so be it. You were the better person in the long run and life is too short for quirks. Im glad all went well for you.

I know I had a good time at your party. And I am telling on you to all. Everyone! Lee and Annie are good dancers. They did a dance together to one of the dance songs from Rocky Horror Picture Show. They were so cute!
