Got my first fill

I went tuesday and got my first fill.  My Dr says that I got two cc's and honestly I can not tell a difference what so ever.  I am give a few more days before I call him and ask for more.

So far though I have lost 27 pounds and today is my 6 week surgiversary.  I am very busy right now, graduating in Dec with my associates and trying to figure out what school I am going to go to for my bachelors.  Honestly, I have kind of lost the desire to post...sorry.  Some things have happened that have just made me step back for a minute......

Mandy,

Most people dont feel restriction untill about 2 weeks out. They will most likely make you wait and get used to that fill.  Also, they don't do fills too close, the pouch is inflammed from the fill and it needs awhile to settle down.  Go slow and don't let the new restriction suddenly sneak up on you.

Mandy,

Just give it some time - you don't want to get a fill and find it too tight and have to go back...

I didn't realize you are graduating in December... what is your degree in??

Hi Mandy,

It good to hear from you. I was thinking about you and wondering how you were doing. As Nancy said, I understand that it's not uncommon for to take a little while for the restriction to 'kick in.' You are doing a great job! Keep it up.

I hope to see you again on the boards and/or at the monthly meetups.

Wishing you continued success,

Barb

Mandy,  Congratulations on your weight loss thus far and on your first fill.  Hope in a couple of weeks you'll feel like it's just the right amount for now.  Good luck with graduation and your hunt for your next school!

Jaimee & Sheila!!

Jaimee-you are doing so great!! Congrats on 37 pounds lost!! Woohoo!  I bet you are looking fab!! It is a shame you are not closer we could work out together.  So you are in school now too?  Do you work as well.  I work full time as well so my days can get very very busy.

Sheila-I am majoring in Spanish.  However, finishing my bachelors is proving to be difficult.  I am having a hard time finding a school that really works for adult students who need to go at night or online.  So far, I have applied to UNCG they have a ALL ONLINE program for a BA in Liberal Studies, which is still along the same lines so I am hoping that it works out with them.  I just sent my app in a few days ago so now is the waiting game.  Really looking forward to getting this done.

Chat soon!
