I called the Doctor
I have a had a even harder time getting my water in today. I have gotten in maybe 16 oz. I am lighted headed when I stand up and I have not gone to the bath room in over since like 5 this morning. The Dr on call was not one of the baritaric surgeons. He was looking at my report from my ugi said that did not show any signs of any blockage. He said for me to try and drink an ounce an hour and to stay on liquids. I have thrown up water 3 times in the last 24 hours. He said he was going to leave a message at the office and some one would call me in the morning. So thats where I am at this point.
I am so sorry you're having a tough time. If I repeat anything already said, I apologize. I had a tough time handling any fluid that wasn't warm for months and months afterwards. So I would use crystal lite with warm tap water. It helped a ton! The idea of chewing on ice and using popsicles is good too (I know, not warm, but it got warm by the time it hit my pouch!). It may be that you can do better if you use a spoon and take one spoonful at a time. (Perhaps you are swallowing too large a mouthful at a time? I did that sometimes too). Try decaf tea with splenda. Also, maybe peppermint tea? Peppermint does settle the stomach. Good luck!
So sorry your are suffering, you are the second person Ive read tonight that has a idiot on call. Your surgeon should always have someone on call that can help you, otherwise whats the point? too bad suffer and wait? NOT! Im so sorry that you are sick, I really hope you feel better and can get some of tha****er down, best of luck to you.
That doesn't sound good. If you don't get a call in the morning, be the squeaky wheel & call them until you get a satisfactory answer (most likely something along the lines of; come on in, we'll have to check it out.)
Everything else aside, It sounds like your symptoms are leading you towards dehydration. If everything else checks out OK, you may need an IV to catch up on your fluids. Hang in there, and good luck overnight and tomorrow!

Hi Jeff,
Try using ice chips as much as you can it may help with hydration until you can get in to see you Dr. Be sure to give them a call the first thing in the morning.
I'm so sorry for your struggles.
