Lets all give an update!!
On the 25th I will be 9 months out and I have lost a total of 168 lbs. 34 prior to surgery. I have an appointment Monday to have pictures taken of my stomach to send to the insurance co. in hopes they will pay to remove all the extra skin I have. I have a huge hernia from an accident prone gall bladder surgery 3 years ago. The doctor is hoping to fix the hernia and remove skin at the same time and I am all for it. If I cant make a "6-pack" on my own maybe I can buy one!!!
Looking forward to a flat stomach

I'm about 6 weeks post op, and am down 40 pounds. I am going for a possible fill on Wed. I have not had any difficulty with my band, and seem to have totally avoided "bandster hell", due the the fact that Dr. H puts some fluid in the band during surgery.
Concerns: my best friend is incredulous that I won't be able to drink at his New Year's Eve party. He is South American, and can't relate to life without ANY alcohol. I don't care one way or the other, have never been a drinker. But maybe one won't hurt?
Even though I have lost 40 lbs, nobody at work has commented. Makes me wonder just how invisible I have been.
One month pre-op, and all is go so far. I start my pre-op liquid diet two days after Thanksgiving. Funny, huh? Guess what my "last meal" is gonna be?
In the last two weeks my world has been turned upside down with the death of my dad. His funeral was this past Tuesday, Veteran's Day. The week before and since then have been one long blur of comfort food, hospital cafeteria food, fast food, Halloween candy, and all the goodies that friends and relatives brought after dad's death a week ago. Consequently, I gained, which only gives me another reason to be sad. Today I think I'm back on track though. My new supply of Unjury protein powder arrived and I got back into it today. **sigh** What I really want though is to dive into a big bowl of squishy macaroni and cheese.
