Dangerous waters
Hi Annie,

I am sending hugs ((((((B)))))). I know how hard it is to struggle with depression.
Regarding your meds and forgetting to take them (I am notorious for forgetting mine). May I suggest that you do as I do and set up an alarm in your datebook to remind you. I have mine set up to alarm every day at 8:30 am and 8:30 pm and the message that comes up is "Take your meds" or "Take your calcium" or whatever!! I try to keep a days worth in my purse so if I run out of the house early or am back late I have them with me.
Let us hear from you and know that you will be in my thoughts and prayers.
Thank you Vera ... B

I'm sorry you are going through such a rough time. You certainly do have a lot on your plate right now, pardon the pun!
I think the important thing is that you recognize your behaviors and realize what you are doing. That's the first step. If you are aware, you can control...
Take your meds! That's something that's fairly easy to control.
Have you thought about writing in a journal about your feelings when you eat something "comforting"? Just an idea.
Anyhoo....I know I"m not much help, but just wanted you to know I'm thinking about you and sending you cyber-hugs!
Hi Lisa,
Thanks for your note and concern. I really do appreciate it. I actually do journal about my feelings, but have been struggling more than I normally do lately. When I'm struggling, I become much more 'fractured' and while taking my meds 'should' be straight forward and 'easy to control', it becomes much more problematic as I 'spiral' out of control. I'm working on regaining/maintain my equalibrium so that I can and will take better care of me.
Thanks again,
Barbara

Shelli,
Thanks ... I do realize the staggering consequences of forgetting the meds and the suppliments and am working on finding a workable solution. This doesn't happen all the time, but does tend to occur when I'm 'falling apart,' which I have been lately. My 'right' mind knows that this too shall pass. I believe if I can get the depression back in the 'box' and under control the other things will follow. Of course, taking the meds regularly is a necessary component.
Thanks for the caring.
