FIELD TRIP! Lets check that one thing off our goal list!

Ditto!!!  I LOVE roller coasters...CANNOT do ferris wheels!!!  It's a fear of heights thing for me.  The roller coaster goes too fast to even think about how high up you are.  Well...the old-days kind I'm used to.  I may be in for quite a shock now!

I am so in!!!  We have season passes (we live about 10 minutes away) and I did a ton (pun intended )  of my daily exercise walking the park and swimming in the wave pools summers of 2007 and 2008.
They have a lot of roller coasters of differing heights and curves.  I am a big fan of round and round types and the gold rusher is great for that.  
And never fear, I wore  a bathing suit when I was at 345 and really didn't care what people thought.  And next year I will be smaller but looking very char pei like in the legs (picture a totally deflated balloon)  and again, I don't care how I look.

The schedule isn't posted yet, but Boomerang Bay (the waterpark) doesn't open till Memorial Day weekend usually.  
There are a lot of rides that are not coasters, and a couple of good shows, too.  There's a scrambler type, a big ship swing, adult size swings, a carousel (historic, formerly in Mesker Park Zoo in Evansville, IN) , the flying dutchman (kinda like teacups or drunken barrels), log flumes, bumper cars, etc.  
I'm so excited, I don't know how I'll sleep till you guys come! 

Oooooo, me, me, me, I wanna go too!!!!   I had the horrible experience of being told I had to exit one of the roller coasters on my last visit to Carowinds because I couldn't get the bar down far enough to latch due to my weight.  So now that I'm 137 lbs lighter, bring it on baby!!!!!  My 15 year old son has told me that he will be proud to climb on board any of the coasters I want to ride.  He had to see my humiliation when I had to get off the ride that day.  So just let me know when and where, and we will definitely be there!!!

I want to go! You know more than fitting into the seat my actual goal would be able to walk without having to stop and rest every little bit.  I am so out of shape right now and I have stayed away from going places because I get so out of breath and my legs and feet and lower back hurt (all because of this weight) So, Yes! I will be in much better shape by Spring and would LOVE to meet all of you!!

Yawn - waking up and find this??  hmmm, sure I want to go to Carowinds - haven't been in years, but I need to get my brain in gear to make a well informed decision about roller coasters and water parks...LOL

Count me in, but I need a lot of notice, so I don't schedule myself for work...

Road Trip - I'm in. I probably won't ride the roller coasters cause I've never liked them but I've never been to Carowinds and I love me some road trips.

That sounds like fun, let me know the exact dates, so I could try to coordinate it to be off that weekend...  I haven't been on a rollercoaster in years...

We live in Charlotte and have a big house lot's of room so people could stay here with us if you dont want to drive back home after playing all day,we could barbecue and celebrate and just continue the fun.
