On-going Stick or need an un-fill?

Hey, everybody - I haven't been on here in a while (long story), but I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience.

I had my 3rd fill a couple of weeks ago and had been doing well (at least on target) with adjusting to life with a  with a filled band.  After this last fill, I started well and then had a stick about 2 weeks ago.  I went to the liquid diet for a couple of days to be safe and tried eating more carefully.

Since then, I have had several vomiting episodes and tonight after eating regular dinner (chicken, veggies), lost my dessert which was yogurt.  My question is, how can you tell the difference between something being caught, just a need for liquid diet, for a couple of days again, or an unfill.

Any thoughts please?
Thanks and it's good to be back....

Diane......read my recent posts and see if some of what I went through sounds familiar.  What did you get stuck on? If you were just stuck and it came up, those few days on liquids were good to get the inflammation down. Good call.  Are you chewing really good and not gulping food?  Are  you eating slowly?  Are you eating too much the yogurt came up because you were really full?? Several vomiting episodes means how many times a week/day?  I have learned that regular vomiting is not a good thing.......it doesn't mean that you are just tight, something must be off. When something is caught, it usually will come up or find it's way down soon.  When you do a liquid diet is usually after you have a pretty bad stuck episode and need to give your band a chance to calm down.  As for a unfill, really only your Dr. can tell you that, but if you read my previous posts, I had trouble eating and even drinking- even water!  Do yourself a big favor and don't wait like I did thinking things will get better, call the office tomorrow and speak with them.  They'll be able to better assess your situation and guide you from there. Please don't wait like I did.....if you DO need a unfill, better to just get it done rather than get dehydrated because you can't even get fluids in- like some hard headed person we know, LOL.

Good luck and let us know what they say!

Diane,  I'm glad you are back!  I've missed you!  (Just sent you a PM regarding your other post and the PM you sent me.)  Hope you get this band situation figured out soon.  Will be thinking of you!
Band to DS

Unfortunately, I had to delete this post due to privacy concerns.

Got a lap band in 2008. Tried hard, but didn't lose much weight & developed swallowing problems. Fought my insurance company for almost a year & finally had a band to DS revision on 5/11/12. Have now lost 125 pounds. Yay!
