Most WLS people will relate to this little goal.
I finally sat down night before last and did not realize it but I could sit down indian style without first compressing my lungs into gasps of air looking like a guppy out of water. I also just was amazed that I could actually sit that way for a while with out one foot or the other acting like they were spring loaded to shoot out from under me at any second. I know its a small goal but in the big picture it sure was nice to see it work.
LOL... I was just picturing you doing this and your leg springing out... lol! I actually hadn't thought about this and I'm 6 years Post Op. Sooo, I just had to try it and wow, I can do it tooo!!! Woo hoo!!! Thanks for pointing this out, now I'm going to try it at work in our chairs, it always looks so comfortable when the "skinny" people do it.
Congratulations on another Wow moment and thanks for mine!

Several years ago I was visiting some friends and they had some of those wierd fold out canvas chairs.. I did great in one of them till an hour or so later and then it just bit the dust. I still get the heeby jeebys about those unbrella fold out things. I may have to take up Yoga one day. Im still pretty much wanting to hike the AT in the next several years. My best bud Larry does some kind of Pilates that builds the abdomen up to help in walking but I have yet to attempt that sort of thing yet. I did however recieve my first post op blister this morning.. It took five miles in new shoes to do it and then when I went to pop the rascal I realized the pads on my feet have gotten thick.. That old sewing needle trick would not work. I guess this round the blister won. thanks yall for all the great comments and im glad someone else got into the crossed legged position.. I guess Ill try to kiss my foot some day.. It is so much fun being over the hill.
