First of all, thank you for your loving kindness. I truly appreciate it. I think that I like you, see my sags, wrinkles, etc... but, like you, I'm grateful to be where I am today. I just wish that it did cost me the 'sags, wrinkles, etc...' as the entrance fee. I do think that it's that she 'confirmed' my concerns about what I look like. I can try to convince myself that it's 'not that bad' and I know that others have other issues or more issues, but she said out loud and confirmed what I think when I look in the mirror. Like you, I also try to look beyond it and most of the time do, but sometimes, it's a bit painful.

What a  . . well, you know!    That's just rude!!!!!  Let me know who she is and I'll go kick her in her stupid ugly knee!!!!!  I'm sending you a personal message, too.

Barb you are beautiful and if there are any wrinkles there, then those are just proof that you have lived a full life thus far, not anything bad like that catty woman made it out to be.  I would suspect it was more a deal of her feeling as if she would never be able to look as good as you now do and her insecurity meant she had to try and bring you down with her.  Don't listen to such things, you are beautiful and some catty woman will never be able to know just how much beauty you have that we all see all the time.

I'm so sorry you were subjected to such insensitivity.  I know you know why you had the surgery.  I believe you probably had done what I am doing and looked daily at the before and after photos to give yourself inspiration and strength to continue in the light of fears that creep in uninvited.  You wanted to be healthy, you wanted to be around to watch your children and grandchildren have their own milestones and have a happy retirement life with your husband who you obviously love very much.  All the reasons I am doing this as well.
(except with MY husband not yours )

When I look at your before and after pictures, I don't see a turkey neck or bags, I see a courageous woman who took the necessary steps to achieve those goals.  What that tells me is that woman who made the comments is not there for the "right" reasons.  Of course we would all like to end up as fashion models when its through, what woman wouldnt?  However when I look at my friends who are my age, every one of THEM, the normal, never fat friends, all  have wrinkles and turkey necks now. 

Don't fret beautiful lady, rejoice!  YOU are brave beyond your own understanding.  YOU are an inspiration to me, and I'm sure MANY others from what I've read here.

WTH was she talking about?? I sure don't see that when I look at your pics! I see a beautiful slim woman!!  Be thankful that you are not like her. Jealous and mean! Don't worry, what goes around comes around!

Barb,  First of all, great big ol' {{{hugs}}}!!!  Second of all, the first thing that came to my mind as well was, "She must hide this REALLY well in her photos!!!"  I can only HOPE I look as good, my dear!!!  What the heck was that lady talking about???  I absolutely agree that she must be a bitter person who feels the need to try and bring other people down to her level of misery.  Why else would anyone ever dream of saying anything even remotely like that?  She'd better be careful because, one word, Karma...it's a boomerang!  Chin up, pretty lady and remember...you inspire so many people, including me, to HAVE our surgeries because you ARE beautiful NOW post-op!!!  Love ya!!!
