My concerns were confirmed...
OK, lots of post from the ladies, not many from the gents, so allow me to put my 2 cents in.
Barb, there are not many people who inspire me in this world, but you by far make the short list. It amazes me to see how far you have come in such a short time with your WLS and it just boggles the mind how anyone could say such a callus remark about someone they hardly know. For whatever its worth, I doubt you would find many if any people who would agree with that hags opinion of how you look. Speaking as a man, and I am sure your hubby and many others would agree with me, you are not only attractive and vivacious on the outside, but you have a caring soul to match. Lets see that hag of a woman match that. I'm sure she's wishing she were half the woman you are. I can't say much to help you in battling your self image concerns. I have them too. I think we all do. Best advice I can offer you is to walk to the bathroom mirror and say to yourself, Hello Sexy and dam I look good. Take care and see you on Saturday.

Sorry Barb I'm just now getting around to reading your post, but I just want to say I agree with what everybody else has said about you that you are a beautiful and wonderful person both inside and out and people who can't see that is just plain stupid and it's their loss for not getting to know you. You are one of the people I look up to on this board and you have always given me great advice and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Some people have a tendency to say mean or hurtful things to or about other people in order to make themselves feel better. They are petty, insecure and have no understanding of tact! Not only that, but your pictures tell a different story. Wrinkles? Where? Turkey neck? I didn't see it! Know what I did see. A beautiful, healthy woman with an incredible smile! Chin up and ignore those people. They are depriving a village somewhere of an idiot.

I too have had these comments made to me. Last weekend an X co worker of my husband saw me in Wal mart and was nice an ask about my Husband and his new job. He asked about our family that's was nice then he giggled and said I see you have lost allot of weight and got a turkey neck for Thanks Giving.Well I don't like him in the first place and I responded with it's better than an ass for a head and walked away as he said I was only joking.He's not the only one co workers of mine asked if I plan on getting a face lift because I'm looking a little older. If I think negative about a PERSON I try to keep those thoughts to my self. People are so lose with their mouths and thoughts. Where are your Manors folks . I guess we have to be Duck's and let it roll off. I need to update my pic so everyone can see the change in me . Lynn

I've been getting these kinds of comments all the time and I know how hurtful it is. My daughter actually asked me if I was going to get a facelift! I think you look wonderful Barb! I still wouldn't go back to being fat, but I do miss how young people used to say I looked. I had a waitress ask me the other day if I was eligible for the senior citizen's discount. Cried all the way home.

We talked about this at applebees that night and I was amazed that you mentioned your concerns about your eyes and your neck. I really and truely am a very bad liar and I was shocked. I thought you looked great. But, I know we all can be our own worst enemy barb. I amaze myself over what I see when I look in the mirror. I've bought so many freakin products for my face and neck to try to fix these issues that it just might be cheaper to go for plastics, lol.
But, just know that you look fantastic. I really am amazed at how mean, rude and unthinking people can be.
