I am sorry for you to have to be held hanging on an uncertain future. I hope it has not ruined your holiday. How is been doing with adjusting to the wls?

Hi Myrtis,

I have to admit that it has put a huge cloud over things, but we are working hard to normalize things for Sarah's sake. While she is aware of the situation, we don't discuss it or the financial implications with her. We have let her know that we will be okay and that she can ask questions and get honest answers.

Overall, Ben is adjusting fairly well to the WLS. He lost about 18 lbs, then ha**** his first stall wall... We all remember the frustration of that don't we? I expect that he will do very well. Thank you for asking after him.

Hey Barb:

I think the worse thing in life is the unknown as you have no clue what you are dealing with.   My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Love,

Pam

Hi Pam,

I would have to agree... The unknown is scary.

Whatever happens to Ben I know he is in a better place physically and I am sure he will find something else if he needs to.
He has a brand new lease on life and with that being said time to go find something new and exciting which may turn out to be a blessing for you and him.

Ben and Barbara, Should this come to pass there will be a new page in the book to look to for prosperity. As you and your husband have most likely survived many bumps in the road perhaps this is something that may in the long run turn around as the best thing to happen. I know in our case when my wife lost her job three years ago and I was in the grips of a disablity issue we had sold our house and were living waiting on the axe to fall with her company. As soon as it did we headed to new territory in North Carolina and settled down and both of us found things to do. As we reflect now we were stunned like no bodies business when they finally told us things were over but in reflection of it I can not tell you how much good we recieved in the long run. Granted the money was never close to being matched that we were making but for some reason it all worked out and we did fine. Im glad Ben is now 18 pounds down and the scales will be dropping again soon. Keep your chins up and your outlooks positive and when all else fails smile alot it beats the hell out of frowning.

Hi Push,

Thanks for the perspective. Actually, we are from CA's SF Bay Area and came here due to my disability and inability to continue working... so I know a little a making huge changes in life... and as you say, we've weathered other storms before and I'm sure that we will weather this one as well.

Thanks for the positive outlook. Something that's always good.
