OT: It's official... The other shoe dropped

While I'm sorry that it's happened, it's almost better to know what we are dealing with than the uknown. We are hitting a few more bumps in the road this year, but I'm hoping that you are right and that the new year will bring many good things.

I am sorry youare going throught this but ...just maybe.... he will find an even better job opportunity than he had before. Keep the faith and God Bless.

Oh Sweetie!  I'm so sorry to hear this once and for all.  Know that Gerald and I will continue to keep you and Ben in our thoughts and prayers that something better comes along soon!  Just know that we're all holding you up in prayer until things get better.  And they WILL!  I'm living proof!!!

Girl I am so sorry.  I just saw this post.  I'll start working my contacts immediately.  Make sure Ben joins some networking groups in the Raleigh area.  You should put together a LinkedIn Profile too, so that you can access some of your old contacts for him.

Also, LinkedIn has a jobs search function.  When I entered "Technical Writer" I found 14 matches.

I'm so sorry you got this terrible news.  Maybe there's some good in the fact that he had a clue in advance so this wasn't such a shock, not that it makes it any easier to worry about finding something else, etc.    I guess this is one of those situations where you almost want to be on medical leave as long as possible, huh?  :)

Ben, You have such a great personality.  I'm sure once you can get some interviews you'll find something quickly.  Not to mention how much better you'll be feeling.  Best of luck to you and your family as you go through this.  Most of all, try to remember to continue your focus on your health too.  Your body is going through so many changes and that needs to be priority #1 for you.
