5 days into liquid diet
Leslie
Hi Leslie,
I did something similar. The way that I handled it was to make a table with three columns: Worst, Likely, Best. Then I went ahead ahead and wrote down all of my worst what if fears in one column, then I wrote what would be the best likely outcome, then finally the most likely. After getting it out and looking at each thing the broader spectrum, I was able to see that while of course, the worst could happen, it wasn't likely and what was likely could most likely be managed and mitigated so that it would still have a much better outcome than staying where I was.
Give it try... sometimes writing down can help.

Hi Leslie,
I'm glad to hear that you found the chart helpful. Be sure to keep it handy as you get ready for surgery and even after. It helps to look at the reasons why.
All the best,

just one day at a time. Sometimes its one hour at a time, but you can and will do this. I believe in you and I know you will get through this. This step is the life changing one. Up till now it has been a repeat of all the previous diets. Someone asked me today "If you are loosing weight successfully, why are you still planning to have surgery?" I realized she just had no clue! In a few short days you will be on the Loosers Bench with my other friend LovelyCreation! She just came home today. I have an appointment with Dr. Cook on Thursday at 10:45. Anyway you might be there?
