How was your week? What are your plans for the weekend?

Let's chit chat, ladies and gentlemen!  How was your week and what are you going to be up to this weekend?

I had one heck of a week with clear liquid fasting and two attempts at my first colonoscopy.  Can we say PARTAY?!  NOT!!!!  lol  Good news is, everything looked great.  Bad news is, what the heck is wrong with me and my insides?  lol  I am now focusing on drinking LOTS more liquids, going on a totally vegan diet for a solid month, adding vegetarian foods back later very gradually, and keeping my stress to a MINIMUM!  (Hahaha...come live my life and see if you can pull that off...I know more of you than not can relate!)

Our 21yo daughter was on the phone with me late last night.  She had to go to the ER and was diagnosed with a lower lumbar sprain.  She was in tears when she called me the first time so I was trying to keep her laughing via text while she waited to see a dr.  I'm crazy that way.

Next Friday is our other daughter's 16th birthday!  Her older brother has agreed to keep the little man tomorrow for us so we can take her, along with a friend and her family, up to Knoxville TN for the TN vs. AL softball double-header.  She is sooo excited!  Please keep your fingers crossed for us regarding the weather.  :)  On Sunday her daddy is going in to the body shop to paint the VW Bug that he is going to give to her on her birthday.  I'm planning on heading in with him to spend the day with a friend.

Hope everyone has had a wonderful week and is looking forward to an even more wonderful weekend.  My thoughts are with you all as we go through these difficult times of late...health, economy, employment, etc.  I'm hoping things turn around soon.  {{{Big hugs}}} to all!

I am sure the weather will be Grande!

My week has gone by fast...I went to the Dr. yesterday to talk about the pains I am still having in my lower abdomen. X-ray and CT scan shows nothing but I am having pain...sometimes I can't walk. She gave me a prescription for constipation (I hope that's what it is) and told me NOT to take it until Saturday where I will be home all day...apprantley I will be cleansed. I am looking at this as a positive...maybe this is the crap (no pun intended) that is holding my 1 pound back from being at a 50 pound weight loss!

Have fun at the birthday party and sorry to hear about your eldest DD.

Can you say Roller Coaster - and not the fun kind either. Last weekend was total relaxation and boy have I paid for it this week.

I've noticed that my stomach feels different (think indigestion/reflux type feeling) so I had been sorta watching that. I decided to call the surgeons office about that - lo and behold they want to see me ASAP in an attempt to rule out the ULCER from hell. So I go to Greenville Tuesday morning. Not looking forward to it - but hey. I'm hoping it's something simple like sinus drainage or allergies (yeah - it's a stretch but this is my little corner of fantasy world)

We had David's kids last weekend and were supposed to have them next weekend but since it's Mother's Day he knew he needed to let his ex have them so he was really disappointed thinking that he'd have to go 3 weeks without them - BUT the good news is she's letting us have them tonight and tomorrow and again Friday night and Satu. next weekend. So that has been a good thing to happen today.

On a complete downward note - I am so incredibly upset that I really don't know which way the world is spinning right now. My Boss came into work this morning and everything was going along smoothly - my Boss is my Mom's best friend so she's a lot more than just a boss to me. Anyway we were getting things going this morning when she looked at me and mumbled for me to get her a wet rag. So I hopped up and realized that someone was already in the bathroom so I grabbed a towel and wet it at the water cooler - I thought maybe she had spilled her tea. NO. Her whole right side had suddenly gone numb - she was having a stroke right before my eyes. I got the attention of one of the other girls so she could get on the phone with the boss's family & 911. I kept talking to her and sorta kept her occupied until the EMT's got to the office - which was wonderfully quick - less than 3 minutes. They assessed that she was having or had had a stroke and with that they whisked her away.

She is one of the toughest, strongest, most determined women that I know. The docs are pretty sure that there hasn't been any permanent damage but right now they are admitting her to the hospital and running more tests in an attemp to find out where the clot is at. I cannot believe how totally helpless this made me feel this morning.

It's been a very long and trying day - already. I just want to go home and hug my kids, my dogs, my mom and David and tell them how much I love each of them. Sorry that this got so long but dang it - I've got a lot on my plate right now and as much as I'd like to crawl in a hole and hide - I want to encourage each of yall to reach out and tell those close to you - just how much they mean to you. Please?!?!?!

Iris,
I'm sorry to hear about your boss/friend.  My uncle had a stroke back in August so I know what you are experiencing.  I will keep her and you in my prayers.  ((((((((HUGS))))))))

My week has been good.  I was off on Monday and Tuesday (honeymoon  ) and Wednesday thru Friday has been long days for me!!!  I am so glad it's the weekend!!!  The good news is that now that I am on Scott's health insurance plan, I will be seeing an extra $80 in my paycheck every two weeks!!!  Woohoo!!!!  Our health insurance is so expensive at work, it's ridiculous!!

Nothing much on tap for this weekend.  If the rain will go away we plan on taking Brandon down to Winston-Salem to watch a little short track racing at Bowman Gray Stadium.  We used to go every weekend when we lived in NC and he really misses it.  Other than that, not much else planned except for some house cleaning and the ever present laundry!!

Hope everyone has a good weekend!!

This week I worked Sun through Thursday and that was just plain normal for doggie daycare but busy training new staff and all. Today I had the day off and had to go get a blood draw for an upcoming followup appointment with my surgeon. They took around 7 tubes of blood from me. I was thinking that maybe it would be a good idea if they left some in. How silly was I? Then we got the grocery shopping mostly done and I took my grand dog to the doggie daycare for weekend boarding since her mom is off to weekend warrior duty. (USAF Reserves) WE have finally gotten info on when DH will finally start getting his unemployment money and we still have to wait another 3 weeks before the first check will be deposited. Thank goodness I made a point of paying up the rent ahead for three months from the severence check and paid up everything else. Unfortunately the bills will come due slightly before the first check but maybe it won't be to bad. My little check covers groceries and gas for the car thankfully.
This weekend I am working Saturday afternoon and thats pretty much the plan for it all. I am working at the house on clearing out a room to use for a TV room and hope to get the xbox off of my TV and on to another one in the house so I can get a turn from time to time to catch up on my shows. Nothing really exciting to report or complain about I guess.

My week was fairly good. Worked everyday of course but love the job & money haha. Went to the dentist and had 4 fillings, yes I said 4, and I know that's BAD. LoL. I also taught a friend to sell on E-bay since that is one of my favorite pastimes.

This weekend we didn't do too much, my husband helped my dad extend an 8 foot deck off his house and put up a nice new patio set and umbrella. My little boy spent some time with the grandparents like he does every Friday Night and Saturday afternoon. He went swimming and played games with his Auntie Anna.(lol, he's 3 and she's only 10) so that works wonderful.

Tonite, we just hung out around the house and played the old favorite game haha Hungry Hungry Hippo. The Easter bunny brought it to my little boy and he loves when mommy and daddy play with him.

Tomorrow of course is church and then me,the hubby, son, Mom, Dad, Brother, Sister and Brothers girlfriend are going to walk on the nature trail here in my town. They just put a new bridge up to walk across the river so we plan to walk the whole thing. Plus it will be nice to take LuLu with us and let her walk off some energy. (lulu is my dog)

Hope everyone else has a great one.

Please add me and read my blog, i'm new to this and ready to begin my weight loss journey.
