Thanks Dee... I know that her demise is not immediately imminent, but not only is she my mother, she's one of my best friends... I'm desolate at the thought of losing her. That said, I am working to enjoy all the time we do have... I think what was hard, was realizing that she won't come back so that my time with her is much shorter than it might otherwise be, but I also know that CA is better for her because she has my sister and sooooo many friends who love her there.

I am so sorry you have this on your plate. I can't imagine what its like for you but I may experience it soon with my father. He is in CA in the hospital after refusing any more cancer treatments with pneumonia and may not have a lot longer. I will not be able to go visit him in time I fear. Please do as much as you can to enjoy your time with her there.
