having more confidence

I made my first maiden voyage to the Meetup today.
I want to thank all the people who have gotten me to the meetups.
Attending these meetups are so important to me and I look forward to them all.As the pounds and inches are going away I am gaining more confidence with myself.
I could go on and on about low self esteem that I feel many obese people have myself included.
It was a very infromal meetup today and it was great seeing less of everyone.
Thank you Ben for filling in for Barb.

As always it is great to see you at the meetings and other times too. I wondered why you hadn't asked for a ride but now I know you can get there anytime. It's a good thing though riding with a friend is always good too.

Getting to Perkins I was pretty much ok with because I used to take Arthur to a bulldog vet off Capital blvd .
The real test will be to get to GC next month.
I still enjoy riding with you and Debbi that is always fun.

Annie you were looking FABULOUS in my favorite color BLUE!

Ann that coral was just brilliant on you!

Talking about confidence, you just made me think about a WOW...

My wardrobe had always been full of blue and black clothes, very dark. I shied aways from prints, florals, anything bright and summery or any thing I felt would bring to much attention to me. My confidence was truly in the pits.

I remember going to Hawaii with friends at church back in 1995. I stayed in a room with my BFF (a petite size 2). We hung our clothes in the closet and she said Valerie, all your clothes are blue and black, long and dreary! I thought nothing of it but that was my life and I was quite comfortable in it - so I thought.

My closet is now full of many colors and I have to chalk that up to confidence. I even wore a white blouse to our meeting Saturday! I had never owned any white clothes and now I have (3) white blouses! Slowly but surely we are overcoming all the little obstacles and roadblocks!

I thank God for taking me on this journey and  allowing me to meet some of the most wonderful folks in our support group!

If I am gonna eat   like a fat girl, then I gotta workout   like a skinny girl!

Hi Valerie,
Thanks for sharing about the colors of clothes.
I know for me personally I never wanted to bring attention to myself mainly because being SMO for so long most attention I got was negative.
Now I am trying to be more comfortable in my own body not an easy task.
I thought you looked great in your white shirt!!!
As for Ann OMG she looked fantastic she is now in the group with the very tiny members of our group.
