Couch 25k Week 5 - What Did YouThink You Could Not Do?
Ok so I cannot say I completed week 5 day 1 today , which would be my normal schedule. Let me tell you why...
I posted before that I felt the need to be active everyday , so I had been walking on the off days (Tues and Thurs). This week, I wanted to add Sat and Sun.
I peeped ahead at the couch25k schedule and got worried that at the end of this week, it says to jog for 20 min straight! How can that be? The schedule progresses from 5 min one day to 8 min the next day to 20 min the 3rd day! I just am not ready for such a quick progression.
So Sat and Sun, I alternated jogging and walking for 4 min.
This morning, being a holiday I totally forgot it was Monday and that I would normally compete day 1 of the week. So I walk 4 min. Then start jogging for 4 min. I was totally enjoying the music so instead of watching the timer, I said keep jogging and enjoy the song. I kept saying that through the next 3 songs and when the last song was not done, I said keep going! I JOGGED 25 MIN STRAIGHT THIS MORNING!
I am simply amazed at how I can quickly say I CAN'T yet I CAN! That fortitude came from Lord and I am thankful for His power to complete such tasks that seem beyond me! I can truly do all things through Him!
So tell me what did you discover that YOU CAN DO that you thought you could not?
