Good luck with the new job Paula! I hope it all works out for you.
Today has been spent buying Thanksgiving fixings. I'm trying to make sure everything is in the house now since my husband is having surgery tomorrow for a torn rotator cuff. Here's hoping he doesn't turn into a complete baby during the next week. Men never seem to do well when sick or injured!

Hi Paula,
I hope that your visit to VR goes well so that you and your husband come away feeling like you are getting the support and assistance you need.
Hopefully the new job will not be a high stress job and will end up not only providing relief in terms of income, but also in terms of new experiences, friends, etc.
Wishing you all the best,
Barbara

HI all,
Meeting with VR today. Taking hubby with me this time. He won't mince words. He is not happy about their assistance so far. So we shall see.
This is my last week at home before I start the new job. I have to hit the books hard. Trying to think of a place to study at thats wifi and not all that busy. I thought about the library but that is a crazy busy place. Oh well. Home is quiet but lots of distractions. I hear my dog having a dream. Whimper whimper hmmm maybe I should wake her up.
I am both happy and scared about starting this job. I really didn't want a high stress, full time job. However, when the paychecks start coming in, maybe it will be ok. That is my motivation at this point. Getting stuff paid off. Seriously, I stood in front of the frig last night trying to think what I'm going to feed my hubby. Sausage, rice and veggies. Well, there ya go. Today, may be hotdogs, rice and veggies. At least it's somewhat nuritrious.
Ok, I have to call my dr today and find out why my vitamin levels were not posted on the portal. I don't think she has any idea what our needs are. Time to send a gentle reminder.
What's up with you all??

Topic: Sunny Sunday Roll Call
Well, we are now in the Guinness world record book with Europe for the largest wine tasting. I am a bit tired. I don't know why I slept at least seven hours. That is my norm if I can get it.
Going to try the 8am service if hubby can stay awake. Then not sure about the rest of the day. Maybe we can get the energy for a bike ride. We shall see.
You?

Hi all,
This morning I am being picked up for my usual meetup at the library. I am finally making some friends. It feeld good! I tried to do some homework yesterday and it takes me forever to get through an Excel assignment. Anyway, with an empty gas tank, I can't do what I wanted to do today so I will hit the books some more.
What are you up to?

Family Care PA in Durham with Dr. Lee and Dr. Mentock are great! I'm not sure how much knowledge they have about gastric bypass surgeries though but some of their patients have had it.

I'm not sure about being bariatric knowledgeable but I love the doctors over at Highgate Family in Durham over by southpoint. They did my 6 month pre op visits and they were awesome!!!!

Hello all,
We got the frosties this morning. Brrrr..... well, my start date on my job got pushed to the 28th so I don't have to worry about gas. PTL!! I love it when things work out. Today I have some errands to run. I also need to tackle the books. I KNOW I keep saying that. I am trying to be consistant. Although these days, it isn't working lol.
OT: Well, I don't know how many of you or your friends, coworkers, family are into wine and charities but on Sunday at Wines & Design, 231 Bickett Boulevard in Raleigh, there will be a special Guinness World Record event for the largest wine tasting in the world. Wines for Humanity is hosting this event along with the parent company all over the world. Since we are joining forces with Germany, their tasting is at 3pm which puts ours at 6am. Breakfast will be provided. If any of you are interested, call Chris at 919-841-0313 or let me know. We need at least 25 people to break the previous record.
