Congratulations on the approval for your surgery. Recovery varies from patient to patient, most people are out for about 3 weeks with a laproscopic procedure, however, some are back at work within a week or so if their position is mostly sedentary and they haven't had any complications. If you can, work to get yourself in as good physical shape as possible, athletically and nutritionally, also make sure that you are getting plenty of rest prior to the surgery so that you can maximize your opportunity to heal well and quickly.
Wishing you all the best,

Walking this morning, work tonight.

This week has flown. Went to the doctor yesterday for pink eye. Got on the scale and I am down a couple pounds. I love this surgery! Anyway, couldn't get the meds I need but my eye is feeling better.
Today is blood work. I have to convince my new PCP that I need more than a cholestrol test. So I will take my printed list.
Supposed to start that new job on Monday but the gas tank says otherwise. We shall see.
What are you up to?
Well, if all goes well and you have your surgery laproscopic, one week should be enough time. You may have some restrictions, such as lifting etc. Check with your surgeon on this.
I heard back yesterday from the doctor's office and I am approved but they are all booked up during my winter break from school and they can't do my surgery when I need it done. I am going into my last semester of nursing school and I really needed the surgery done during my winter break. I decided to do it during my Spring Break from school instead, which will only give me a week to recuperate before I have to go back to school. So my surgery date will be March 6, 2012. I'm hoping that it will be enough time because I can't miss school even for medical reasons. I'm pretty bummed.
Took DD to ENT today for tubes surgery follow up. She is doing great! Passed her hearing screening! Woohooo! She is well on her way to getting better.
I was headed up to ECU for a lunch seminar on surviving the holiday food pitfalls. Canceled due to a possible gunman on campus.

Dropped a pound this morning! Back to the gym this afternoon.
