Today is another nice day. I am not looking forward to the cold. Yesterday I found out I may not get an extention on my class so I am wondering what will happen. Also, had a good meeting with my VR counselor. I have to make a decision soon as to what route I want to take. I'd prefer the healthy one. Convincing my hubby is another matter. So, I have some emails and calls to make today.
What are you up to?
The focus right now is what job is going to be healthy. Typing all day would not be healthy since I have already had three carpal tunnel surgeries and the last one left me with a disability.

This afternoon we go tot he gym. Seems like I haven't been there in forever but I'm on the same schedule as always.
My DD has been very sick the past couple weeks. It's making it hard to stick to a good eating plan when I'm this stressed. I'm sick of appointments and doctors and therapists.

It is great to say hi. Yesterday was a very busy 12 hour day. I am not sure that I want to have these all the time. I have a big decision to make. I either take the new job with tons of typing all day or keep this on and off long days at Hallmark. I have an appointment with my VR counselor today so I will discuss this with her. I have to do some studying. I need to get focused. Question, how do you get focused when all this crap is going on in your mind. Yikes..
Have a good day all.

On the job issue, what is the pay difference between the two jobs? Also, you have to add in other costs like gas, eating out, etc.
Good luck! I know it's stressful!
The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) Division of Medical Assistance (DMA) have the document that appears below: http://www.ncdhhs.gov/dma/mpproposed/hcproposed/NCHC-Surgery -for-Morbid-Obesity-45-Day-Comment-09-12-2011.pdf
NC Medicaid used to pay for bariatric surgery and a moratorium was put in place effective July 2010. This document effective, 9/12/2011, is a 45 day comment document, changing the policies under which NC Medicaid would recognize and fund bariatric surgery. According to this document, patients with a BMI over 40 will not require any additional co-morbidities. Section 3.2 tells you in detail what you will need to have or do to qualify for Medicaid coverage of bariatric surgery. Since this is a '45 Day Comment Document', I doubt that it has yet been approved. I also don't know if NC Medicaid is currently funding bariatric surgeries, but from this document it looks like they will be doing so again. If it were me, I would look at what they require in section 3.2 and make sure that I had all of my proverbial 'ducks' in a row so that when it's available you'll be ready.
Wishing you all the best,
Barbara
