I had surgery with Dr. Enochs on 10/3/11 and I can certainly sympathize with you on the waiting being so hard!   I think it took his office a little over a week to get all the paperwork together and then submitted to insurace for approval.   I worked with Angelica Wilfong and she was very prompt in getting back to me once I was approved.  As soon as we were approved they scheduled us to come back for a f/u with Dr. Enochs.  They do this as a group class.  Then you meet with Dr. Enoch, then Connie to schedule your surgery.  I thought the waiting was going to kill me!  I was so anxious but once we did our follow-up it felt like everything started moving very quickly.

Good luck to you, what surgery are you planning on having?  My husband and I had RNY GB on the same day both with Dr. Enoch and I cannot tell you how wonderful I think he is!  We had our 2 week f/u this past tuesday and he was very helpful at answering all out questions.

We both did great without any complicaitons!  Hope things go as smoothly for you!

Hi all,

Work went fine yesterday.  Enjoyed a quiet evening last night.  Today, I have to go to that Cary thing. I will dress up and I will be honest and upfront with them regarding what I can do and what my needs are. This company  has massive turnover.  Not a good sign.

How about your day??

Wow what a busy day I've had paying bills! LOL!

I didn't get in my morning walk. Kinda bummed about that but I'm off the gym in a little bit. Also meeting up with a floral designer. Hope to hire her for my mom's second business. My little one has a ENT appointment tomorrow, hope we get some answers soon on that front. Other than that I'm just going to do my best eating well and moving this body down to 200 pounds!!

Hope you have a good day in Greensboro.  At least your job sounds interesting...you are never in the same place and get to travel a bit!  I'm tethered to a phone all day (but I do enjoy what I do).

Had to get up bright and early-way before I wanted to-so I could have bloodwork drawn.  I'm nearing my 1 year surgiversary and have my 1 year appointment coming up 11/2!!  Can't believe it's almost a year!  Time flies when you are out living your life!

Can you believe how cold it is outside today??

Hi all,

Off to Greensboro for my second job this month.  So, hopefully it will not be all day since it is only gift wrap that we are doing.  I just have faith I will have enough gas for this job and the one in High Point on Monday.  Yikes.  Life can be a challenge.

Have a great day!

Hi,

I had my gallbladder out in the late 80's and it was not bad at all.  As for the pain I think I only had some occasional gas pain like after any laproscopic procedure.  I did have to stay overnight because the anesthesia made me sick on my stomach.  Other than that it was a peice of cake.  Surgery on Thursday, back at work on Monday!

Will keep you in my prayers and remember worrying is a sin because it shows that we do not trust God to take care of us.  Just put it in his hands and let it go.

God bless,

Hi Kim,

You are absolutely welcome. We have pre-op, post op and those of us that have moved into maintenance. We represent a broad spectrum of programs and surgery types.

Maybe I made a mistake when typing the original url. It should read:

Let me know if you have anymore problems accessing the meetup website.

I look forward to seeing you this weekend!

Topic: Support Group Meeting this Saturday

I am hosting a support group meeting this Saturday in Raleigh NC. This month I will be talking about managing the challenges of the upcoming holidays. I will share some recipes and welcome others to share recipes that they enjoy.

I also invite people to engage in a clothing swap. Many people find that they are no longer able to wear gently warn clothing that may benefit others in the group. If you have some things and would like to participate, please do. Please be sure to take with you any items that you bring that are not selected by others. If you do want to keep the items, you can take them to Thrift Store and a Goodwill within a mile of the support group location.

If you more details about the meeting, please go to www.meetup.com/nc-wls.
