I see Dr. JoEllen Speca at Rex Hematology.   I've got some other non-RNY issues but she definitely understands the restrictions from my RNY.

Busy day for us here at home! We are having our home visit with the BeEarly program for my little girl. She has been on sever ices since she was 8 weeks old and I can't afford to pay out of pocket any longer. I hope they find that she qualifies for services through that program, and that it will cost our family much less.

We have to skip our morning walk since I'm trying to get the house ready for her arrival. But we are hitting up the gym this afternoon with our gym buddy! Yay!

It seems my sleep is all out of whack. I'm not going to sleep until 2 am and its effecting my energy during the day and ability to lose weight. I guess I need to start making that a priority.

Hi all,

Just found out that our church has free wifi.  So I think I am going to take my homework over there to study.  I won't be distracted by house stuff and dog.  Woke up at 4am this morning.  So I am doing this very early.  I may work on restoring my headlights today.  It's getting darker earlier so I need to get them glowing again.  Trying real hard to get connected with various groups so that I won't be so lonely out here in the country.  It is amazing what can happen in three years.  This trip back is so different.  Anyway, I have my work cut out for me today.

Clueless about weight loss and weight loss surgery of any kind.

Feeling a little better today.  I made myself get up and go to work.  I feel better for having done it although it was obvious to all that I was not 100%.    Glad there are only 2 more days to the work week!

Hello everyone

I'm having trouble with absorbing Iron and would greatly benefit from an iron transfusion. Problem is, my levels are just barely still within range but are sinking.
Do any of you know a good hematologist in the Triangle area that is familar with bariatric surgery patients and their needs?

Thanks in advance.

It looks absolutely gorgeous outside this morning!

I'm happy to say I'm officially only 20 pounds away from my next short term goal of 199! I'm in the 2Teens for the first time in 10 years and it feels wonderful to have this weight loss success this year.

Hi all,

Didn't get a lick of sleep last night.  Well, I probably did a little because of the strange dream.  Anyway, today is a study day.  Hopefully, I can knock out a Level.  I am really happy for new days.  I like a clean slate.

How about you?

Hey Besty
I'm so glad things are going good, and going back on track has been a success.  And congrats on you A1C level.
I started my 5 day pouch test yesterday.  Funny thing is I don't feel hungry but I want to eat so you know that is nothing but head hunger.  I've had nothing but liquids for 2 days and I'll start with my protein tomorrow so I looking forward to my chicken breast with salsa.  I too haven't had any alcohol and it's been all good.  I was a little scared cause my stomach started acting up but it passed.

I hope I can gain the confident level you have.  It's there I just have to bring it out.
I'll keep you posted.  and Please keep me informed on how things are going.

Take Care
Sharon
