Topic: RE: Duke Surgeon for Gastric Bypass
I had surgery last year with Dr. Portienier. He is very good but I didn't see him before nor after the surgery. You see his associates. They are all very nice and he is very good. I have recently changed to Duke Raleigh and I see Dr. Yoo. He works in Durham and Raleigh. He is great and I have seen him a couple times. He performed RNY on my good friend 3 months ago and she did great. I hope this helps.

I myself was scheduled to have my RNY done last November with Dr. Torquati , however my insurance at the time denied me for it. Since then I have different insurance and have decided to get the sleeve instead. I meet with Dr. Torquati next week. My question is has anyone gotten "sleeved" by him or know someone that has??? Thanks in advance

 Afternoon!

Slept in this morning till noon. Far later than I planned. How about this weather!! I gotta say I do hope it snows. I like my cold white winters :D  The dogs like it too. Later we are planning on making some homemade egg drop soup, which I am super excited about. I don't think we'll be going on our usual walk so I may have to take advantage of the stairs here.

Hi!! I had my RNY surgery at Durham Regional two weeks ago and my surgeon was Dr.  Sudan. He was very nice but I hardly ever saw him. I saw his resident and his nurse far more often. It was a very good experience and I have had no complications. :)

I am scheduled for RNY at Durham Regional with Dr. Alfonso Torquati on March 12th.  I have heard he is really good.  A girl in my office used him and she has had wonderful results.

Good morning.

I am staying in.  I hope the weather man is wrong about the type of precipitation, no snow, and if we get some, let's make it light and melted before morning commutes.

I am searching for a medic alert jewelry.  Any suggestions?  I would prefer a bracelet or an anklet, and if it's a charm, I guess I would purchase a long chain and wear it as a necklace.  Any suggestions?  Something stylish please.

Have a great day!

Topic: Duke Surgeon for Gastric Bypass
Hi All ... last week my physician says "why not have gastric bypass" - I had thought about it a couple years ago and am now thinking it over again.  So I'm doing lots of reading and research.  I know I want to go through Duke and have the surgery at Durham Regional - just wondering if any of ya'll have recommendation for preferred surgeon?  I haven't found much info on the indiividual surgeons, but in a lot of what I have read, if the surgery is done right and I follow dietary rules then success is higher so I want to ensure I get the right doc.  Thanks in advance.  Melissa

Hi all,

Looks like winter is going to hit tonight but looking ahead, I see 70s.  What a strange weather we are having.

Church with mom-in-law today then color hair and get stuff done around the house.  Lousy weather to be out much.

What are you up to?

Clueless about weight loss and weight loss surgery of any kind.

 Gooood morning!!

Sat out on the deck drinking my protein this morning with the dogs. Today's plan is to do some more job hunting and hopefully get some sketches done for a side project. If the weather stays nice I'm hoping to take one of the pooches for a walk. They do like their walks, but I think they may like the car ride more :P  If I am feeling ambitious I might try and convince the parents to go to a movie tonight. I want to see The Secret World of Ariety, always read the Borrows when I was a kid.
