Lump in my neck?

I had my surgery March 1st and every since I've been home I've had this pain on the side of my neck and this lump feeling in my throat. What is this. And sometimes when I take a deep breath in it kinda aches a little. Its not every time i take a breath it its just sometimes. Does this make any since at all? I was told the pain in my neck could be from the gas they blow your stomach up with but whats with the rest?? I'm gonna call my doctor Monday and asks a couple of questions to make sure. best wishes
