New to this board!

Hi all, I am new to the knitting/needlework/crocheting board! As for the WLS, right now I am waiting for approval My consult was 2/27/2007, and on that day I turned in all the tests, letters, etc. The waiting is making me a little nutty! I first learned to crochet when I was 8, about the same time I learned to sew, which I went on to teach for a few years when in my early 20's. I even sewed my first wedding dress, but got smarter about men and making gowns when I got married the 2nd time, and didn't make my dress then, though I did make my veil! I love to knit, especially lace and fine yarns. I got to thinking that I wanted some thing luxurious to knit with in the weeks after my surgery, so I ordered some qiviut and a lovely pattern from a woman in Denmark (http://arnica.dk/). I can't wait to get it, qiviut is so soft and an indulgence - i figure what I save on restaurant eating will cover it, lol!! So I just wanted to say hi, read over the board and hang out with some knitters (and other needle craft nuts!) Inky
