Compulsive Knitter

Last year I started knitting again, and I'm somewhat grateful for this heat wave we've been having -- otherwise I might never stop. I like "free-form" knitting, just getting some idea in my head for a shawl or afghan and running with it. Every bit of knitting I do is really for the cat, who passes judgment on my works-in-progress by sitting on the project and helping me with his claws. The seal of approval is earned when he curls up on it and goes to sleep. My sister does counted cross-stitch (she's won ribbons), but I can't handle the precision. Give me a ball of wild yarn and my big needles, and I'm off!

Hi, Patricia I've been knitting for years, then moved to South Texas where it is too hot for most knit things, so now I inflict them on my Yankee realtives:bounce: I've also learned to spin and am currently working on a faroese shawl. of course that's only one of the zillion projects going. I'm currently spinning rug yarn, which I might weave or knit and felt. I always have something to do with me. It drives me crazy when my hands are still Joanne
